About Sacramento Bible Church for the Deaf

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about Sacramento Bible Church for the Deaf and our community. Sacramento Bible Church for the Deaf was established in Carmichael, CA in 1996. We hope that after you look through our website and attend a worship service, you will consider becoming a more active part of our growing community of faith.

Lead by Pastor Chester Brock, Sacramento Bible Church for the Deaf offers many ministries for people of all ages and walks of life who are looking to strengthen their relationship with Christ. We offer ministries in Deaf Men's Ministry, Deaf Women of Faith, Small Groups, and Youth Ministry.

Mission Statement

A Great Deaf Community, numbering in the tens of thousands, exists in our area. This community is mostly un-evangelized.

Current efforts to reach this community for Christ have experienced little success. Efforts to integrate Deaf Christians into the social and administrative functions of the church have often ended in frustration.

Therefore, we have come together into this association where the programs and activities of the church shall emphasize Deaf Culture and American Sign Language. Colossians 1:28 expresses our goal of maturity in Christ Jesus which shall be greatly promoted by opportunity for expression and use of God given gifts in the assembly.

Further, we affirm that we are independent (non-denominational), Scripture Alone, Christ Alone, Grace Alone, Faith Alone, The Glory of God Alone, The Doctrines of God's Sovereign Grace, Biblical testimony and Fellowship.

Into this fellowship we heartily invite any and all Christians, on the basis of their acceptance of the Statement of Faith, and Constitution of this church.

(1) Worship: We purpose to follow the New Testament patterns and practices of worshipping God "in spirit and in truth."

(2) Building: We purpose to build up members of the Body of Christ through personal and corporate instruction, encouragement, exhortation, and discipline as defined in the Bible. We purpose further to provide training and ministry experience to develop future church leaders.

(3) Outreach: We purpose to maintain a world view and obligation of gospel witness and instruction as described by our Lord in Matthew 28:19-20. In fulfilling this commission, we will seek to make disciples wherever our Lord may lead us; locally, nationally and abroad. We shall use every appropriate means available; including personal witness, publication and distribution of literature, use of electronic media and sending out trained representatives.

(4) Cooperation: We purpose to cooperate with other individuals and organizations functioning in harmony with God's Holy Word, desiring to glorify God's Holy name, until Jesus comes.
